Dan graduated from Bangor University in 2023 with his MMus in Performance, specialising in the piano.

Since then, he was the Music Graduate Assistant at Bishop Wordsworth’s School in Salisbury for the academic year 2023/24 and has been the Musician in Residence at Bryanston School in Blandford for 2024/25. These academic settings have equipped Dan to support the learning of many young people from a variety of backgrounds.

Dan’s specialism as a musician is as an accompanist, which is what drew him to work in education with the opportunities available accompanying students. He has accompanied school choirs and concerts, as well as formal exams (both Grades and GCSEs/A-levels), and is always looking for more opportunities.

An accomplished pianist, Dan’s interests extend further into playing saxophone, viola, organ, and guitar. This gives him a particular understanding when working with other musicians in ensemble or exam, as well as reminding him what it’s like to be a beginner!

He is married to Holly, and they are expecting their first child in late 2025.
