Salisbury Choir Festival 2026
It was a huge joy to be involved in the Salisbury Choir Festival at St Thomas’s Church with both the Salisbury Show Choir and the Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir on the 25th April.
I started with the Show Choir and it was a fun experience to sing a capella and without a score, though a daunting one too. It was well worth it to see the joy in the audience as we sang ‘Modern Major General’ (it was nice for our hard effort to be appreciated!).

St Thomas’s is a wonderful space to perform in, and its grand piano is my personal favourite piano I’ve ever played. The Military Wives sang beautifully, even if they did choose some of the hardest piano accompaniments to perform. My particular favourite, despite its difficulty, was Whitacre’s ‘Seal Lullaby’.
