Spring 2026
As this term started, it was looking to be a quiet one, but this idea was turned on its head quite quickly!
A good chunk of my time at Embley School was filled with the GCSE and A-level students, accompanying their performances for their assessed work. We also had a ‘Brass & Vocal’ evening and the Spring Concert to fill my time with accompanying, with the students being endlessly impressive musicians.

A big highlight of the term for me was my wife being able to bring our baby to the scholars’ concert at Romsey Abbey.
With the Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir we had no concerts, but it has been good work preparing for the Salisbury Choir Festival.
As for non-piano updates, I have been really taking off again with my saxophone and have been enjoying the challenges it brings, and I have also been involved with the Salisbury Show Choir – quite a step out of my comfort zone, but we had a great performance at the end of the term.
